I'm a disabled letter carrier, wheel chair bound, on dialysis and still having the time of my life. My new favorite pastime is watching the Food Network. It's fun to take my limited resources and make the food I can afford taste better. I mean, why not?
It seems like breakfast is my forte right now. I've been experimenting combining eggs, onions, potatoes and garlic and taking them to a new level other than charcoal. LOL
My favorite things to cook
Uh, breakfast. I do cook a mean grilled cheese and I'm getting really good at making TV dinners taste almost acceptable if that can be done. It's all a challenge to me.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I use to do all of my family BBQ until my accident and then they all started being overly critical. They can cook their own food when I'm finished with mine. That'll teach 'em!
My cooking triumphs
My finest triumph was to conquer not smoking the house up when frying. I had to get my wife off my back, plus I can eat what I want if I can fix it myself. Know what I mean?
My other triumph was learning to BBQ without drinking beer at the same time. It really thru my timing off.
My cooking tragedies
My only tragedy was asking everyone how they wanted their steak cooked. That opened a can of worms that I still can't get the lid shut. They can cook their own damn steak and anything else for that matter. LOL
