About this Cook
I am a stay at home Mom. I have 3 beautiful boys (4yrs, 2yrs & 3mo) who love to help me cook/bake. I have loved to bake/cook since I was 5yrs old. My first time making food was when I was 5 years old, I got a chair and made my own eggs. From that point on its been me and the kitchen.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake sweets like cheesecakes, cookies, and anything else that looks interesting. I couldnt live without my slow cooker, I use that more than the stove top.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I grew up with my mom making buffet things for holidays. That rubbed off on me, I love making things buffet style not so much sit down meals. I am different than my mom though, I love to make different things all of the time.
My cooking triumphs
After 10 years of making cheesecakes I found the secret to making a cheesecake that didnt have a crack down the middle of it! I Was so pleased with myself I called my mom and offered to have a cheesecake tasting with all of her friends if I could pick out the cheesecakes and make them. (I made 10 different ones) Everyone loved them so much, 5 people called me and offered to pay me to throw a cheesecake tasting for them and their friends! Wonderful! How great it is now to get paid to do something that I love!
My cooking tragedies
I have a horrible time cooking meat. :-( I cant cook fried chicken without it being dry and over done, or pink and bloody. I cant cook fish, not that I care to, I dont eat fish. I cant cook pork chops without them being like shoe leather. The only way I can cook meat is in the slow cooker.. the slow cooker.. my friend.

The Best Slow Cooker Cream Corn
This was pretty good. I will make a few changes to make it 5 star for my family. First I will double the corn, use a full cup of milk, and use 1/3 the amont of cream cheese. And I am not sure if it needs the extra cheese. I dont know yet. Also, I use fat free milk, fat free cream cheese to make it a little better for you. Thanks.. I thought I hated creamed corn. But what I found out I hate that that comes out of a can. Thanks!

Slow Cooker Creamed Corn
I could make this a 5 star with my changes. (for my family anyway) I followed this recipe to a T. (except makeing it serving for 5. Next time I will use 1/3 of the amount of cream cheese, more milk and less butter. I also pepper it. I think I will leave out the cheese too. Other than that I so see where it could go. But it was also nice this way. Thanks! I will be making this for thanksgiving.
