Fresh Broccoli Salad
I made this recipe for company, unfortunately both of them did not like broccoli, so they never even tasted it. At the time I was disapointed, but now I'm thankful, because I have eaten the left overs for supper, breakfast and lunch since. I honestly cannot get enough of it. My husband loves it as well. I can't wait to make this for people who will taste it. I think even people who don't like broccoli would like it if they gave it a chance. I did make one substitution to the recipe by adding cauliflower, and ommitting some of the broccoli.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople
My Mother in law has always made a great apple pie, so I've always known better than to attempt one, but since we are now about 600 miles away from her my husband was really craving one, and I tried this one. He loved it. When we were visiting his mother last week she mentioned making an apple pie, and he asked me to make it instead, because he liked the one I made better. I almost felt bad, but when I did make it, my mother in law, always ready with compliments told me that it was the best apple pie she had ever tasted, and asked me for the recipe. On my husbands birthday he again asked for this apple pie instead of a cake. I guess I could say that I have found a keeper recipe!! P.S. I followed the recipe exactly except that I make my own crust, sprinkle it with cinamon and sugar, and let the shell brown in the oven before filling it.

Bodacious Broccoli Salad
I added cauliflower to this recipe as well. I took it to an event at our church, I got many compliments on it, and when I was walking by one of the tables I heard one guy say, "whoever made this brocolli salad rocks!" Will definately make this salad again, but may leave out some of the onion next time, It was slightly overpowering for me, althoug everyone else seemed to like it.
