I am a college student, and I live with my family. I love to cook, probably because I love to eat. Cooking on the weekends is a big hobby of mine, and that's when I have the most time to experiment with new recipes and flavors. Wow, everything! Baking is great--breads, cakes, extravagant desserts. I also really enjoy exotic foods, although they don't always turn out very good. I love expanding my food horizons. Thanksgiving and Christmas are the best, because we all visit my grandmother, who makes the most excellent cookies and pies. I remember making apple pie with her as a little girl, and actually picking the apples from her tree in the front yard. I've made some good stuff. Most of the time, my best meals are creatively thrown together, and I don't measure any ingredients. But when I try to replicate the meal, I'm not always as successful the second time around. Oh, there have been many. Nothing memorable, just random things that tasted weird or bad.
