Simple Recipe. I made a few changes for what I had on hand. I toasted the almonds on the stove for about 5 mins (watch them carefully. I halved the recipe. I used honey instead of the sugar- so they stayed a little sticky- that shouldn't be a problem if you use the sugar. The coating made just the right amount for the almonds. Not too sweet and the pepper adds just a touch of heat. I'll probably put in more next time.

How anyone could confuse these with crab cakes I don't know. As Zucchini cakes these are fantastic. I only wish I had made mine a little smaller as I made four large patties. I enjoyed with spaghetti sauce as my dipping sauce. Yum.

Delicious cake. I halved the recipe and baked in an 8X8 for 25 min. I also used dutch processed cocoa that I mixed with a little bit of hot water to help it mix easier and to enhance the flavor. Will definitely make again
