Apple Pie in a Jar Drink

I really did not care for this drink recipe. I used Everclear, and all I could taste (and smell) was the grain alcohol. I'm not sure what I could have tweaked to make the recipe more palatable. I served it to about 20 people, and it received mixed reviews, so perhaps it is just a matter of preference.

Artichoke Chicken

This is an excellent recipe prepared as is, but a warning: it's very important to use high quality chicken. When I make this recipe, I purchase organic chicken. Because the recipe's focus is on the meat, and not the other flavors, one bad bite can ruin the dish.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Excellent with Jack Daniels sauce (19 oz. bottle). I added 12 oz. in the beginning, and the remaining about an hour before cooking was completed. Also added 3 garlic cloves and 1/2 tsp. Cayenne. Next time double the recipe and freeze the leftovers- this time the recipe went too fast!

Soy Ginger Salmon

I tried this recipe with tilapia, and it was good, but not great. Since tilapia is a bit meatier than salmon, it held up the soy ginger flavors better. But I prefer a more complex and flavorful marinade.

Thai Chicken Curry with Pineapple

This was a terrific and easy recipe. I doubled the amount of green curry paste, and mixed in basmati rice. Leftovers were great too- next time I will double the recipe and eat it during the week.
