Dessert, bread, soup and comfort food. For years we had breakfast for dinner on Sunday nights. The kids loved it! We frequently BBQ during the summer and invite the neighbors. Impromptu parties are the best! One Thanksgiving every dish my mom and I made had to be rescued and revamped. We laughed so hard we cried. Luckily we did the turkey the day before because it turned out so bad we had to go to four different stores before we found a big enough fresh one to redo! Poor old turkey had gotten so dry it looked like it had hair because the meat was "curling" up in little pieces. My mom passed away a few years ago and Thanksgiving dinners have not been the same since.
