About this Cook
I just moved into an apartment with my boyfriend at the beginning of 2008. I'm a vegetarian and he's a meat eater! So I tend to cook 2 dinners a night. I'm just starting to cook and I love it!! My boyfriend is a great guinea pig
My favorite things to cook
Burgers and fries, baked macaroni, anything with chicken, and anything new!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom always cooked for me growing up so I should have watched her all those years! Now I have my own kitchen and often call her for pointers. My grandmother always made her own pasta sauce, so I've learned that recipe - it's so easy and I will never buy Jar sauce again! My mom's favorie stuffed artichokes (but I only get them once a year)
My cooking triumphs
When my boyfriend said, "This Meal looks like it should be at a restaurant" and then proceeded to say it was the best meal I've made. It was Breaded Fried Chicked with Butter Lime sauce (I think i got the recipe here)
My cooking tragedies
There have been a few but 2 Words - Raw Chicken - thank goodness for pizza delivery!!

Onion Rings
These onion rings were better than any restaurant I've been to. The best ever!! Next time I will try adding some seasoning, but they were perfect.
