My Hubby and I
About this Cook
Married with children, one child doesn't like anything, the other will eat just about anything! I've become obsessively addicted to this site, but my husband doesn't mind since I have made so many new yummy meals.
My favorite things to cook
Anything simple and yummy. I love to try anything that seems easy to prepare and has a wow factor. I love that this site has pictures, and that so many of you post yours, because I decide with my eyes before anything else.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Hmmm.... I just love when my family gets together for any occasion. I think I need to start some cooking traditions with my family, seems more of our "traditions" involve eating out...
My cooking triumphs
Can't say any come to mind --- I do always wonder if I'll ever have what it takes to host a traditional Thanksgiving or Christmas meal like my grandma use to do. Even in my forties I still feel like I'm sixteen when it comes to serving a spread like that -- I still wonder how grandma did it and still looked so relaxed....
My cooking tragedies
None come to mind - I've had my share of not so good, but nothing tragic - yet...

Cashew Chicken with Water Chestnuts
I must have missed something, this was too blah for our family. Very easy to make, but wont be a repeat recipe for us.

Quick and Easy Green Chile Chicken Enchilada Casserole
I used left over pork I had from the other night when I made Simple Carnitas in the crockpot. I though it was ok, my family ate it, and didn't complain, so its that's always a big plus.

Chicken Milano
My sauce never thickened up. The taste was good, but it was a VERY thin sauce. Sliced my chicken up put it over pasta and "watered" it down with sauce - it just didn't work. Family voted thumbs down.
