I'm a pastor's wife in an international church so, despite my English background, I lover international cooking. After years of hosting church functions both for my husband and various churches that I worked in I have been forced to back off due to my MS. I still love to cook and eat and delight in coming up with new recipes for special events. I am known for my crazy cakes although I am now forbidden to do any more wedding cakes when the the kitchen became a disaster zone after making a cake for a wedding of 350. I pulled an all nighter making it and didn't get to the kitchen before my husband saw it. Cakes, Pies and Bread Corn Pudding, Braided Swedish Cardimum Bread, & Mullberry Pie Home made cheese Making a three tier wedding cake with two double tier side cakes, gum paste roses and orchids, stairs, and a fountain to feed 350 people. Making a basket cake with kittens only to discover that the shortening used in the icing was rancid. Sugar cookies double batch where I forgot to double the sugar. The first time I cooked on my own and discovered that vegetable oil was not the same as vegetable shortening. (So that's why my drop no bake cookies wouldn't harden.)
