My entire family really loved this recipe. I used olive oil and reduced it to 3 TB. I also used real butter and reduced to 3 TB - that was plenty and it was delicious!!! I added a heaping spoonful of minced garlic when cooking the onion. I also added fresh spinach and mushrooms. Great, simple, and quick recipe - perfect for left over ham.

Hot Fudge Ice Cream Bar Dessert

We left the nuts out - layered the chocolate sauce and then the whip cream. On top we put miniature peanut butter cups. Yummy!!! Everyone said that it was better than DQ!

Chicken Enchiladas II

This is one of our favorite dishes - for just the two of us, or company. I use cream of chicken soup instead of mushroom, increase the cheese, and substitute plain yugurt for sour cream. What a hit. If you like black olives it is also tasty to add some to the sauce or serve them on top. Yummy!

Apple Crisp II

Yummy!! I made extra topping and used a smaller pan, as recommended by other reviews. Served it up warm with really rich vanilla icecream. This apple crisp was such a hit - I know I will use it many times.

Pot Roast in Foil

Excellent and easy roast. I made it for guests and they loved the gravy it made. I cooked potatos, carrots, celery, and onions with the meat - it was perfect! Thanks for a great recipe.

Black Beans and Rice

We top this recipe with sourcream and cheddar cheese. It is also great served in a burrito shell. So fast and so yummy! Great as part of a mexcian spread.

Seven Layer Salad

This salad is wonderful! The different flavors mix together so well and it makes serving salad something a little more special. It is great the next day, too!
