Pretty darn good. AND I got to have the fun of shocking everyone as to the main ingredient. A side note... its a great way to use up beer that no one liked.

Easy Cream Cheese Danish

Reviewed: May 13, 2009
Way to much filling and desperately in need of an egg to help it set up. My husband and I love cheese danishes, so this year as a treat between his b-day and Mother's day (same weekend) he made these with the kids. Unfortunately I should have read more reviews before printing it off and handing it to him (and yes, he can cook). If you make this I highly recommend you cut back on the sugar, add 1 egg to the filling, and decrease the filling by half. Good luck to you.

Chocolate Pound Cake III

Absolutely delicious! Everyone loved it. So very moist and chocolaty. I used dutch processed cocoa and 1/4 c coffee rather than water and grounds. I baked it in little individual molds for about 30 minutes.

Cordon Bleu Casserole

Hands down the best way I've found to use up leftover turkey and ham from the holidays. I did not use onions, did add some onion powder. I also used some leftover stuffing mix as the topping.

KELLOGG'S* RICE KRISPIES* Spicy Raisin Squares

They were ok, people looked at me like I was nuts.... as in why mess with perfection. Once they tried them they thought they were good, just had to work to get past the 'spicy raisin' part.

Nany's Cheesy Cauliflower Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2009
well, it was ok..... got mixed reviews from my family, I actually thought it was worth eating so that is saying alot (I'm very picky). My daughter that wanted me to make cauliflower, she had seen it in the store, liked the sauce but wouldn't touch the actual vegetable. I was already planning on sub-ing sour cream for all of the mayo, but I didn't have enough sour cream soooo, I tossed in some cream cheese (I'm not big on mayo). It was very nice and creamy. I sprinkled in a little garlic and onion powder, and then topped it all with a few dashes of paprika for color.

Oatmeal Waffles

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2009
These were really good. Not heavy at all. I didn't have quick oats, only old-fashioned, so I gave them a pulse in my food processor to grind them a little, also tossed in the whole wheat flour. To insure fluffiness I took another reviewers advice and whipped up the egg whites, then folded them in. I added about 1.5 tsp cinnamon. Delish!! My 3 kids loved them, my little boy was talking about how they would make him "big and strong, like a coach".

Cake Balls

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2008
A mushy disaster. As someone else said, there is no way I could let my husband take this to work. It probably didn't help that as I was making it and describing it to my husband that he said, 'like pre-chewed food' I responded with 'more like post-chewed... hold-on, ewww'. Turns out that is what it is like. If you read many of the reviews talk about serving it frozen, well that was not an option so from everything I could try there was no saving this. For what its worth I used Red Velvet cake and cream cheese frosting. The only reason I'm giving it one star is because I can give it to my kids as frozen treats, if not for this it would have gone in the trash. So sad, I was really looking forward to having something neat and different.

Italian Love Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2008
Bland, it just lacks a lot for everything you put into it. I didn't have a problem with soggy, but it was dry. I cooked it in a metal 9x13 and where the directions say 90 min, thankfully I took it out at 70 min. I did let it set a full 24 hours before making the topping and serving it. As for the topping... not good, just bland yet again (and not remotely close to mousse), you might as well buy the chocolate flavor cool whip, save time, money, and a dish to clean.

Banana Cake II

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2008
I looked hard on this website trying to find a banana cake that wasn't the consistency of banana bread... I do believe I found it. The texture was just wonderful and the flavor delish. Just due to the amount of bananas I wanted use I ended up doing 1.5x ingredients. So I chose to bake it in an 11x15 dish. Instead of sour milk I used yogurt. I also added just a touch of fresh ground nutmeg.

Watergate Cake IV

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2008
First, I agree with another reviewer that 3 eggs and 1 cup oil is just to much; I cut back to 2 eggs and 1/2 c oil. That being said does not change the fact that this cake is in need of help. I notice that many if the recipes that are giving it 4-5 stars talk about adding ingredients. I would say adding some crushed pineapple and maybe walnuts to the batter and/or the topping are required to make this worth your time. Also its a must to double the topping, there is just simply not enough to frost the cake.

Creamy Deviled Eggs

Gingerbread Boys And Girls

This recipe was awful; to quote my dh they tasted like dog biscuits. There was absolutely no spice flavor that came through, and yes I used good quality and fresh spices. On the plus side I chilled the dough for quite awhile and had no problems with the dough, I did find that it rolled out better using a small amount of flour vs powdered sugar.

Giant Ding Dong Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2007
Very good and fun to make. Since other's mentioned the cake being a little moist, I left it in a little longer. I made cupcakes for DH's work (easier to serve) so I chose to go with the Hostess cupcake look. The only change I made was to use milk chocolate for the topping glaze, note that I did increase the amount of chocolate. To get the filling into the center I used a decorater's bag and the long narrow tip. I used the ready made can of decorater icing for the swirls.

Fluffy Peanut Butter Frosting

Wonderful, just wonderful. Although I'm a good cook I seem to have the worst time w/ frostings, they never seem fluffy enough... this was wonderful. The only change I made was using cream rather than milk.

Cranberry Cheese Bars

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2006
For the first time I made it very close to the original... I substituted orange juice for lemon (its all I had), added a little bit of cinnamon to the crumble, and did not put more sugar in the cranberry sauce, I also added an egg to the cream cheese filling (this helped it to set and give a richer flavor). To make this a 4-5 star for me and my family I'd double the cream cheese filling. My dh and I agreed there were enough cranberries, but there was too much crust and not enough cream cheese filling.

Cranberry Nut Bars

These were good. The only thing I would change for future is to cut back on the cranberries. As it was I already used about 1 3/4 c, in the future I'll cut back to 1 1/2 or less. Mind you if you absolutely adore the tartness of cranberries you'd love these.
