I'm 23 years old. I've always loved to cook, and definitely loved to eat! (as shown by my waistline lol), but I never really had the opportunity to cook at home. So now that I'm on my own I'm experimenting a little bit. I'm really trying to eat better as well, because I'm in the process of a complete lifestyle change.
My favorite things to cook
I love to make Asian type foods, stir fry, chow mien, and Indian food like curry. A friend of mine got me into hummus so I'm really excited to give that a try on my own here soon. I also love to bake, and I don't do that a whole lot anymore, considering I'm wanting to lose some weight.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My favorite cooking tradition is my mom's Red Chicken and Rice. It's so amazingly good. I'll have to post the recipe on here soon. It's a recipe that has been passed down 4 generations now.
My cooking triumphs
Really learning to cook things in a healthier way is awesome for me. I've learned how to make foods taste good without making them unhealthy.
My cooking tragedies
Haha, when I tried to make peach cobbler for my fiancee for the first time when he first met my parents. Came out SOOO bad, I wouldn't even let anyone eat it.
