Soft Sugar Cookies IV

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2008
These were a really good cookie. They taste more like a butter cookie to me, but still very good. I dipped some of mine in colored sugar before baking and the other half I frosted with buttercream frosting from this site. While these are good, they were not what I was looking for. Thanks for the recipe though!

This is the first n*r that I have participated in, and boy am I glad that I did. I was a little apprehensive about all the spices and hot sauce, but it was delicious! This will be one of our regular meals from now on! Thanks for the great recipe! n*r

Lemon Coolers

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2008
I'm giving these three stars because the ease of this recipe was very nice, but I did not like them at all, but that may not be the recipes fault, just my taste buds! They were way too sweet for me, and the baking time was way off in my opinion. At 12 min. they were still gooey, so I baked for more like 15 min. I will not be making these again. Sorry, but thanks for the chance to give them a try!

J.P.'s Big Daddy Biscuits

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2008
I just made these and they are wonderful! I will never buy store bought biscuits again! I followed the recipe exactly (i did double it), but I think next time I will replace the shortening with butter, not because they taste bad now, cause they don't, just curiosity due to other reviewers! I will be making these often. Thanks for the great recipe!

Luck 'O The Irish Brownie

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2008
OMG! If I could give these more than 5* I would. So chocolatey, and minty...what's not to love?! These are very rich and creamy and sooo delicious! The one thing I did do is put each layer in the freezer for just a few minutes before putting in the fridge for 30 minutes. I think that this helped keep the layers defined from each other. If you haven't tried these...YOU NEED TO! This will definately become a regular in our house! Thanks Cher for sharing such a great recipe!!!

Coconut Orange Cupcakes

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2008
I think these are soooo yummy! The only thing I did differently was instead of "folding" the mandarin oranges in, I mixed them in on low speed and that broke them up just enough. I do not recommend leaving the oranges out, don't see how they could even remotely taste the same. I will definately keep this one for a regular cupcake in my house! Thanks for sharing :)

Famous Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2008
This is a really good recipe. My family thought it was great. The only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is because I think next time I may add a little bit more flavoring to it, not much, but a little. Otherwise very easy, and good. I will make this again.

Bread Machine Bagels

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2008
I just got done making these and they are sooooo good. I did make a few changes though...first I did not use a bread machine...I also added 1 T. cinnamon and about 1 cup of "plumped" raisins to them. The turned out great! I had never made bagel before, so didn't know what to expect, but it was surprisingly easy. I definately recommend this to all!!! Thanks for the great recipe!

Homemade Butter

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2008
I just finished making this, and let me tell ya, I will not buy real butter at the store anymore!!! I followed the recipe except I didn't have a food processor so I used my Kitchen Aid mixer on speed 8 for about 5-8 minutes...it worked perfectly. I just squeezed the buttermilk out with my hands, it was messy, but didn't take long at all! I will definately be making this over & over & over, well you get the point! Thanks for the great recipe!!!

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2008
Not that this recipe needs another great review, but these are excellent! I did everything that the recipe said, the only issue I had was on the rising time (but that isn't the recipes fault). Mine took almost 2 hours to rise the first time and the second time was about 45 minutes. I know some had said it called for too much sugar/cinnamon, but i thought i might need a LITTLE bit more. I did not double the frosting and it was perfect. If you haven't tried these you need to. I will be making these many times over! Thanks for the great recipe!!! *I did make a paste out of the butter brown sugar and cinnamon, made it look nicer and stayed in the rolls better!

Cinnamon Raisin Bread I

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2008
This bread was so good! I followed the recipe to a "T" and it was perfect. I made 2 loaves of the bread and used the rest for cinnamon rolls. The 2 loaves of bread were gone before the end of the day, the family loved it. Definately a keeper!!!!!

Cake Balls

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2008
These are fantastic! So easy! I did the first batch just like the recipe said and they were really good. I did my second batch with homemade red velvet and chocolate frosting and coated 1/2 of them with chocolate and 1/2 with 10x sugar...DELICIOUS! I did refrigerate them for about 30 minutes before dipping them, and that made it much easier. They are a little time consuming, but well worth the effort. Will definately be making these many times over! Thanks for the great idea!!

Hamburger Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2008
I have to admit when i first read this, like others, i was a little leery of all the onions and the chicken broth, but after reading other reviews i stuck with the origional recipe. It is really good. The whole family liked it and there weren't any leftovers. I think maybe next time i might try a few different spices, it seemed like it might need something to give it that little boost, but it is a great recipe and i will definately make many times again!
