About this Cook
As most people on this site, I love to cook. I am also an avid outdoorswoman and love to fish, camp, hike, geocash, fourwheel, etc. I have the most wonderful boyfriend who I make test-try all my new recipies, but he hasn't complained...so far!!
My favorite things to cook
I really like trying new things with meat and pasta. I am a spurr of the moment type of cook and end up throwing in anything I think will taste good. I also never measure things...heehee. I've only had a couple mess ups so far so I guess I am doing pretty good.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Hmmmmm....?
My cooking triumphs
My boyfriend and I made a full chicken the night before Thanksgiving 2007. We used a blend of spices that I got off this site and threw in a few things of our own. My boyfriend then had the brilliant idea of injecting it with apple cider/spice mix as it was cooking instead of basting it, and it turned out AMAZING! We ate just about every bit of the bird that night.
My cooking tragedies
The first time I made a homemade pie I think that I forgot to add crisco or something in the crust because when I tried to cut it it was so hard I could have pounded nails with it! The filling turned out really good though.

Fried Cabbage and Egg Noodles
My Mom has made this flavorful dish for years and I wanted to share it with my husband. Needless to say he asked me to make more of it 2 nights in a row! I did change/add a few things. I used a medium head of purple and green cabbage, added Tonys Creole seasoning and cubed ham. It was FABULOUS!

Black Bottom Cupcakes I
I made this for my husbands 34th birthday and he LOVED them! I only was able to get 15 cupcakes out of the batter however. Next time I will be making twice the cream cheese filling and spread some ontop as an icing..YUM!
