French Tartiflette

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2009
This was a fantastic dish and everyone at our get-together loved it. The Reblochon apparently is illegal to sell in the states, but if you go to a quality cheese shop then should know a good knock-off to replace it. The dish was superb and simple.

Aunt Teen's Creamy Chocolate Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2009
This fudge recipe is fantastic and not too difficult. Just make sure you have everything ready and are fast when adding the chocolate and add-ins. I made a butterscotch pecan variety that came out awesome! The basic recipe is also fantastic. I also tried White Chocolate Chips and added Candied Cherries, it looks very festive and is delicious as well.

Lemon Blueberry Custard Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2009
This pie was terrific! I used a bit more lemon for a more tart edge to it, but otherwise followed the recipe as written, if you want something light and yummy, this is the one for you.

Southwestern Turkey Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2009
delicious way to completely make your left-overs fresh and new. We made it a tortilla soup by adding friend strips or tortilla with about 5 mins left in the cooking process, then topped our individual servings with Sour Cream. Overall the best thing about this recipe is that it doesn't taste at all like Thanksgiving food, so if you're tired of the same old turkey, try this one.

Southern Pecan Pie I

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2009
Outstanding recipe in every way. I thought it needed more Pecans so I added an extra 1/2-1c...this was a mistake, because they mostly float to the top, and too many means that some get dry and overcooked, so stick to the recipe, no need to add more. I will make this again, and next time make my own crust, this is far too good to be wasted on a lazy crust.

Sausage, Bacon, Apple and Cornbread Stuffing

delicious recipe, we really enjoyed this alot, made a 9X13 and a 10X8 pan, plenty to go around, didn't stuff the turkey with it, this one stands alone very well.

Angela's Awesome Enchiladas

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2009
Fantastic recipe, followed it verbatim and nothing to criticize, delicious in every-way. I do recommend that you find a top quality enchilada sauce or make one from scratch, as this will significantly effect the overall quality of a dish like this, I used Taco Time Enchilada Sauce that is readily available in the Portland area, in the refrigerator section, find a good equivalent where you live, it will be worth it!

Blackberry Cobbler

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2009
OMG! this was outstanding. It was the first time I have made any sort of Cobbler, and this one read well, so I tried it, just as it was written, and it was amazingly delicious to me. You can't go wrong here and it was pretty easy for most anyone to make.

Dilled Cucumber, Tomato and Celery Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2009
This was the perfect compliment to our summer BBQ meal. It had a mild lovely flavor that calmed spicy sausages really nicely. Everyone loved it. I didn't read it clearly and forgot the mayo, so I used a bottle of light buttermilk ranch dressing with the honey and the dill and it came out fantastic. Thanks for the great recipe!

Baby Carrots And Brussels Sprouts Glazed With Brown Sugar and Pepper

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2009
I made this for Christmas dinner and it was a smashing success, the bowl was the first one gone. This recipe does a great job of enhancing the flavor of these veggies, without overpowering them. Mildly sweet and yet savory as well, these recipe I plan to make throughout the year.

Amazingly Good Eggnog

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2008
Absolutely Amazing! I made 4 batches of this, and tried it with and without Rum ...both ways it is splendid just as the recipe calls. If you don't love THIS recipe, you don't love Eggnog, it's as simple as that. Trust it as written and go with or without, either way this will be a HUGE success at your party.

Icy Blender Lemonade

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2008
I used the advice of many others and pretty much gutted the lemons and used only the pulp. This was a very mild and VERY refreshing drink, very smooth. On the second batch I mixed lemons and limes and that was also terrific. I think the thing was for me just how refreshing it was, nice recipe and thanks

Jeanne's Slow Cooker Spaghetti Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2008
This was exactly what I needed. My mom used to make great spaghetti sauce in a crock pot, and I needed to know the basics to make a good sauce from scratch. This was fantastic! Tweak it and have fun with it, the basic seasonings and overall ingredients are a great start. I used less squash, added zucchini and olives and carrots. Mom's can't touch this!
