About this Cook
I'm an English teacher by day, mom and wife by night. Not a lot of time for culinary wonders so I like easy stuff that has a lot of flavor! I do live in the South so spice is nice!
My favorite things to cook
I love casseroles. Throwing things together and getting something delicious in 30 minutes is heaven. I also love cooking anything Italian. The smells are wonderful. I make an awesome lasagna.
My favorite family cooking traditions
None really. I've just stolen my mom's recipes.
My cooking triumphs
My lasagna. Everyone raves about it. Thanks to this website, I've become a better cook. I've tried so many recipes that I wouldn't have before. My husband enjoys that:)
My cooking tragedies
I'm not a good baker (as in desserts). About the only thing I can handle is a batch of brownies!

Chicken Cordon Bleu II
I thought I would have trouble keeping the chicken together and the cheese inside, but it was really very easy! I used toothpicks because I couldn't find cooking string. Flavor was very good!

Melt - In - Your - Mouth Shortbread
Has a good flavor, although maybe a little too much flour flavor. Kinda crumbly, too. Mine are cooling right now. The first one I tried was still warm and crumbled a bit. But they do melt in your mouth. I added almond extract for extra flavor and extra sugar too.

Monte Cristo Sandwich - the Real One
These are easy to make, and hard to find at restaurants. So make it home for a Sunday brunch. They are sooo delicious.
