Okay, maybe they took a little over 90 minutes -- but who cares? They're just about perfect . During baking, the brown sugar/butter-based filling caramelizes beautifully. I added pecans and raisins to the filling and topped them with cream cheese frosting -- man oh man, they didn't last an hour.

An easy recipe for one of the greatest snacks/appetizers ever. My family has made these for years. Two suggestions: 1.) Before dipping zucchini in egg mixture, coat lightly with flour. The egg sticks better. And 2.) To taste the authentic Italian side dish, add a little garlic powder to your batter and after frying, sprinkle with grated Parmesan or Romano cheese. Oh, man -- perfection...

Okay, so it's not the easiest blondie recipe you'll find -- but it just melts in your mouth. That's not hard for any recipe with a fat/sugar content this high. Still - like the ad says: "If you're gonna have a cookie -- have a cookie." The extra effort is worth it. The extra time? Welllll, when it comes to blondies, I work at a reduced rate...
