About this Cook
As a Native Texan transplanted to England I found there were many dishes I was craving that were nowhere to be found. Corn bread and biscuits, among other lovelies, were a thing of the past. The only thing to do was rise to the challenge and make them all myself.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Buttermilk biscuits, fried chicken and okra, and Granny B's home-made soup.

Panna Cotta With Fresh Strawberry Sauce
I spent all day in the kitchen fixing dinner for my boyfriend's birthday but I should have just made this! My strawberries were particularly juicy so I didn't add any water to the sauce. It was so easy to make but looked/tasted like I'd spent all day on it. He lived in Rome for several years and insists that the panna cotta had the perfect consistency and taste. A definite must-try!

Mark's English Sausage Rolls
I made this recipe for my Irishman and he was thrilled! ... And now he's just plain spoiled.

Real Potato Leek Soup
Good recipe but not very flavourful. I tried like hell to give it a kick but short of tobasco sauce [which I didn't think would be such a good idea] the soup rejected my attempts! Oh well, the boyfriend liked it!
