About this Cook
Happily married mother of three.
My favorite things to cook
One pot wonders, like chile, soups, and casseroles.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Christmas morning breakfast.
My cooking triumphs
Learning to trust my instincts with a recipie.
My cooking tragedies
Seven years ago I attempted to make Thanksgiving dinner for my husband and myself. We were in Germany, so ingredients were hard to come by. Lots of substitutions and NOT FOLLOWING A RECIPIE resulted in a very pretty however terribly WRONG tasting dinner! It went in the t-r-a-s-h!

Banana Pudding IV
Delicious, crowd pleasing recipe. I have made it exactly as written and have made it with less milk, and both are good--it's just a matter of preference. If you like a thicken pudding, use only two cups of milk. If you like it "smoother" rather than "creamier", use more milk. I also used vanilla flavored almond milk once and loved it! No one detected it, and to me it tasted better. Also did not find it too sweet. Lemon juice on bananas may have helped. If it needs anything, I'd add more Nilla wafers because my kids love them. Great recipe for sure. My husband said: "Keep this recipe." And I will. Thanks for a great recipe.

Cocktail Meatballs I
Very good sauce. I used it on premade cajun style chicken meatballs and they were very good. Sweet sauce with the spicy meatballs worked out great.

Curried Chicken 'N' Broccoli
Make this dish! This was WAY better than I expected. I just had some leftover grilled chicken breast and a bunch of broccoli, and I was looking for something to do with them. This surpassed my expectations. I did not use the microwave. I baked it for 40 mins in the oven at 350. We like curry, so I used 1 tsp. It was also a pretty dish. Upload a picture and get this simple recipe the attention it deserves! Thanks.
