About this Cook
I am a law student studying in Toronto, with a passion for food! I am a food network junkie, who enjoys practicing yoga in front of my TV while learning new chocolate chip cookie recipes. My recent food project has been expanding my ethnic cooking skills- my relationship with curry has reached a new level! I try to maintain a healthy life style, while at the same time indulging my ever persuasive sweet tooth. This is a tricky balance to obtain sometimes considering the thousands of amazing dessert recipes on allrecipes.com!
My favorite things to cook
Current Favorites: Green Chicken Curry, Pizza- the toping possibilities are endless!, Butter Chicken, Gourmet Mushroom Rissotto, Anna's Chocolate Chip Cookies, Peanut Butter Bars II, Tofu & Veggie Stir Fry
My favorite family cooking traditions
There are 6 in my family, and between school and traveling we are all located in different places at any one time. When we manage to be at home together we cook up a storm every night. Everyone in my family can cook, so we all bring a variety of tastes and ideas to the kitchen. Sunday night dinners are always the best...we plan for these days ahead!
My cooking triumphs
Mastering the art of stir frying. You could cook with the same ingredients every night, just adding different herbs, spices, and sauces, and end up with a completely different tasting meal. My baking skills- I love to bake, and rarely do I bake something that doesn't turn out!
My cooking tragedies
Cooking using my blackberry to pull up recipes, and suddenly my blackberry stops working and I am left mid way through cooking a dish without the rest of the recipe at hand. This has happened multiple times (you would think I would learn my lesson!) while cooking a cheesecake, an orzo salad, rissotto, and others.

Chewy Granola Bars
My family loved these. I thought they were a little bit dry.

Chewiest Brownies
Very good, and very rich. These brownies have a dark chocolate taste, and go well with french vanilla ice cream.

Italian Wedding Soup I
Very yummy! I brought it to a pot luck at work. I cooked it the night before, undercooking it slightly. Then I just turned it on high in my crock pot in my office letting it simmer all morning. By lunch it was perfect!
