About this Cook
I love to cook! I will make up any excuse to feed people! I started catering small and some not so small parties about 8 yrs ago. I hope to maybe one day do it full time.
My favorite things to cook
Stromboli,stuffed shells,fried chicken,halupki,cheesecake,beef stew,all cookies,anything really!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom always cooked "meat and potato" meal for my dad, which I do love, but never did she make anything else, except for the occasional spaghetti.I started baking when I was 8, I remember making my own birthday cake, cooking was soon to follow
My cooking triumphs
I catered my parents 50th anniversary party,100 people, roasted turkey and ham, mash taters, stuffing, etc.Minus help w/peeling 50 lbs of potatos.I did it all myself.Since they didn't have a wedding and eloped,it was so wonderful I could make their day so special. My father who was complaining that I was making too much of it,pulled me aside that day to tell me he loves my mother just as much as the day they married and he couldn't thank me enough and cried.
My cooking tragedies
I made a cake for my brother's party and I forgot to add the flour!! I also had a day when I was younger where I wanted to bake these different types of pies and they turned out horrible! My mom still brings it up. Thank goodness my pie making skills improved!

Pat's Baked Beans
These beans are the best! Made them a few times for family gatherings, but when i made them for work, everyone wanted the recipe.I did add hickory BB-Q sauce in replace of half the ketchup and added couple splashes of hot sauce. Any beans will do. Thanks for the recipe!!

Baked Potato Salad I
I've been making a recipe similailar to this for years. It is delicious! I cook my potatoes with skins on until fork tender and then peel them and cube them, and sometimes I use little red potatoes and quarter them and leave skins on. I omit the olives and use scallions to top.

Four Cheese Macaroni
YUM!! I made this for a local fundraiser and they sold out within 2 hours!! I did omit eggs, double the cheese and used 2 c. of half and half as other reviewer suggested. Also topped with buttery cracker crumbs. Turned out wonderful! Thanks!
