About this Cook
Well lets see I'm a mother of two: i have a 4 yr old boy who is dealing with split up parents and has a bit of a learning disability, I also have a 2 yr old girl who thinks she is a tom/diva girl that has a head strong personality but loves to help around the house. I am married to a hunting man that unfortunately has a blood disorder that classifies him as disabled. I love animals, but my home is at its max at this point with two large dogs, two cats and a gold fish. I love the outdoors, but i can always find stuff to do indoors that i enjoy too.
My favorite things to cook
I love to make cookies, healthy dinners, and new stuff that i never made before. I struggle everyday to get my family to eat healthier. I sneak vegis in my food when i can or dress up a vegi so it looks cool or tastes great.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love the holidays cuz it gives me an excuse to make cookies, i am currently learning on my own how to frost professionally. I can frost a cake pretty well, but the cookies are somehow a little more difficult. Thanksgiving i always make homeade rootbeer for our big family dinner and i like to also take something different like something that is not eatin on a regular basis. Eating new foods is my strength and joy in life.
My cooking triumphs
all through school i took sewing and cooking classes whenever possible. I have seeked out help from several people who do these things in different ways. i love to learn and experiment. I am learning everyday!!!
My cooking tragedies
Ok so i do have an extreme downfall. My husband. He cooks very well, but he doesn't read recipes. he is a throw it all together and make it work kinda cook. His food is awesome, but he is a critic from hell. he tries to coach me by telling me what i did wrong....he thinks if he wouldn't have done it then it is wrong, he doesn't understand the different methods in cooking. By him being such a hard critic i am easily discouraged.

Raspberry Venison Skillet
Definately not a favorite! The flavor was not at all what i had expected, but I never tried anything like this! My husband was thinking he needed to send me to culinary school after that. Just not our thing i guess.

Skillet Sweet and Tangy Chicken
Too much vinegar! My husband hated the flavor. I thought it was ok. And my 3yr old daughter who loves chicken no matter what you do to it loved it! she ate most of it! She thought it was chicken with runny funny ketchup! And she loves ketchup! so one star is straight from my daughter! Maybe my husband and I just have too high of flavor palats!

World's Best Lasagna
The flavor of this was great! I did add a little more meat only because I had a 3/4 lb package of sausage, and a 1 and 1/2 lb deer burger. I just put it all in and my husband loved it! he said he loved how meaty it was. The one thing i would change in the recipe is to use shredded mozzerella instead of sliced. (it melts better) love the flavors!
