Jiffy Cinnamon Rolls
Brunch cream cheese muffins
Yummy and fun to make!
About this Cook
I have a husband who thinks I am a not so great cook, but luckly two daughters that like my cooking. I try lots of new recipes and OK well some are good and some bad...don't ask me about rainbow chicken...eek!LOL! I love to paint doll houses, other crafts, I am a budding writer and spend free time with my girls and husband watching movies, playing Wii and gardening.
My favorite things to cook
Cookies, Muffins, quick breads, salsas, salads, and trying different ways to cook beef, I CAN NOT cook beef at all, but make great accidential jerkys.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Cinnamon rolls that my grandma and mom made, now I make them each Christmas. My daughters and I bake tons of cookies each christmas and have friends come over to decorate them all. OK so the kitchen gets decorated too, but thats ok once a year and the cats like the frosting...:)
My cooking triumphs
Watermelon Salsa, brownies, Cookies! Cookies! Cookies!
My cooking tragedies
Rainbow chicken, never substitute fruity pebbles for rice krispies in rice krispie covered baked chicken! YUCK! :)

Cowboy Oatmeal Cookies
Yum, easy and fast. I did however make a few modifications due to lack of items. I used 1\2 c brown sugar-packed and 1/2 cup granulated brown sugar to amke the full cup of brown sugar, I did add 1 cup of white sugar as directed too. I used bread flour in place of all purpose flour. This idea from Alton Browns chewy choc. chip cookies. I made them in small teaspoon fulls and when just lightly browned I took out of the oven and sprinkled lightly with white sugar. YUM! I did not add the butterscotch chips, made just plain oatmeal cookies, no additions. WILL MAKE AGAIN and AGAIN!

Bell Peppers and Pasta
YUM! I made this as a side dish to our bbq rib dinner last night. A few changes were that only I used 3 types of peppers, colors, red, yellow and orange, for color, and we had extra in the refrig. The amount was more like 2 and a half cups peppers, and also used a red onion for additional color. It was easy to prepare and rave reviews by guests! A keeper formy family folder of yummy side dishes! Heck I bet if you add some left over italian sausage it would make a great dinner or lunch the next day.

Biscotti Toscani
Loved this! I made without the orange, my daughter did not want the orange on this day. I changed it a bit by adding additional vanilla and iced it with both chocolate and white icing. In fact it was so good I was offered to make for a local resturant when I gave it to the owner/a friend. Thanks for the recipe! I will continue to use as a base and add and change to make more diversity.
