I was born in Nassau Bahamas where we cook rice in a variety of ways. I was taught to cook soutnern cuisine from my husband who is a chef and my former bosses. One was from Iran, one from South Korea, and one form America. I have five beautiful children, sixteen being the oldest and my youngest being two.
My favorite things to cook
I enjoy cooking a variety of things such as soups, stews, casserols, and i also enjoy baking cakes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love to make fruit cakes from fruits that have been marinating in brandy for a year.
My cooking triumphs
One of my triumphs was when I made a traditional Southern Thanksgovong dinner with all of the trimmings
My cooking tragedies
As a teenager my first attempt to make a pound cake turned out to be flop because I wasn't using a recipe and had put too much sugar in it.
