In my family, mostly guys cook. My dad is the best cook in my family, he bakes his own bread and hasn't bought store bread in over 2 years. but before him comes my grand father. he makes the best pies and cakes. every year, for my birth day, he makes me a home made double-fudge-chocolate-layer-cake with strawberry jam between the two layers. my Step Father is great on the grill and in the oven, but when i told him i was going to try to make bread, he didnt know what yeast was. I remeber when i was about 7 or 8 and the first thing i ever made was crutons. i loved salt so i made them "a little" salty. they were great!
My favorite things to cook
I love to make, pudding( i love the texture), cookies ( peanut butter),pork( with a sauce, bagles, preztles, cake, pie, burgers, and(of course) CRUTONS!
My favorite family cooking traditions
In my family, including my step father, we make the wonderful Corn beef. It is amazing how well my grand father can make it! passed down from his father, grand dads secert corn beef recipe is the closest to perfection! along with grand pas apple pies.
My cooking triumphs
My first batch of pudding was one of the best things i made. Well, it made me feel as it tasted, that meens it made me feel like i just won the lottery! My mother said it was delious, and to prove it she had 2nds. And yes, she is still alive today to answer your next question.
My cooking tragedies
When i look up a new thing to cook, i look at the segetions.
