About this Cook
I'm a Grandmother of 2 small boys, with 1 more on the way in December. Thinking Pink!
My favorite things to cook
I'm a soup Nazi - I love to make all kinds of soups and stews.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Friday night dinners. My Husband does the cooking, usually Roadhouse type foods, just great.
My cooking triumphs
Making soup stock is an art i've learned over the past 20 years. I love to make soups and stews and my family and friends really seem to love them too.
My cooking tragedies
Yorkshire Pudding - just can't seem to get them to rise. My Son thought they were supposed to be like hockey pucks until he got married and started cooking for himself.

A Southern Fried Chicken
I have a question. I'm eager to make this recipe but don't have buttermilk on hand. Would it be the same if i make buttermilk with milk and lemon juice? I've done that for bran muffins and they turn out great! Please help, i've already cut up the chicken!!!!

Meat Pie (Tourtiere)
This turned out great, i ground pork twice thru my kitchen aid, added mashed potatoes from left overs, the spices really added a nice flavour
