she is doing fine. she is still on coumdien. we have speech, physical, and occupational therapy every week...twice a week. i've already shown my butt once about the therapists not being available at her set appointment time. i'm not very patient with incompetence...they understand that now. she must go back in the hospital for at least a week to come off cumiden and go on actrophan (sp), so she can have the final (i hope) surgery to remove her skull from her abomen and screwed back to the rest of her skull. she has been great. multi-tasking is still difficult...sequencing is also an issue, her left hand is receiving very little use. i try and encourage her to use her left ( i hand things to her left side, i make her button her clothes...small things i know...but important now.) her resolve has been amazing...her strength incredible! she tires easily,. i let her nap. i try to be funny with her. she has been amazing..progress is continuing..i'm so excited! one last surgery...well 2 but we are gonna have humpty-dumpty back together again. i want everyone to know ya have been fantastic with your support. i read back thru my earlier posts and you're generoisty has been over-whelming and much appreciative! may god bless you as he has for my claire! my amusements have been neither focucsed or well recievied. such as i wanted to take her the local library and play rugby in the kids section (she does wear a hemet), volunteer both of us at the animal shelter and sell bar b q advertised as recent kills, and show up at all the local televised city council meetings protesting the vietnam war..."it's a stroke thing" love ya...can ya think of anything else to occupy my tater?
