About this Cook
Lowcountry Flavor is a Charleston based "business" I guess you can call it. We travel all over the Lowcountry finding small town diners. We review them and post them on our site. We prefer small diners over chain restaurants because the diners NEED their customers to survive. Large chain restaurants don't care who you are or if you even like the food. They have millions already and don't care.
My favorite things to cook
Classic Southern food.
My cooking triumphs
My absolute fall off the bone ribs. Hard to grill at times because they wont stay on the bone at all. EVERYONE loves my ribs.
My cooking tragedies
I very bad tasting chili recipe from a Marlboro chili book.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup
Perfect! Sooo easy to make. This soup never lasts long in our house no matter how much we make. We have a huge pot and usually double or triple the recipe. We freeze it and just heat it up when we want a quick meal. Absolutely Perfect!!

Feta and Bacon Stuffed Chicken with Onion Mashed Potatoes
This has become one of my favorites. I love the taste of feta in this dish! It's become one of our monthly dishes that we make.
