About this Cook
I like creating, so, I approach most things with my artistic attributes, even when it comes to cooking. I try to work on "presentation." After trying an new recipe from allrecipes,I impatiently ask my husband "How many stars?" He is SO annoyed but hey, he goes back for seconds every time! ***smirk***
My favorite things to cook
I am inspired by whimsical and playful ideas which includes baking fun treats for my family, like a Candyland themed cake. I also enjoy making brownies, cupcakes, and decorating cakes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Picnics under the big tree on a lazy fall day and campfire nights in our yard.
My cooking triumphs
I recreated at home a favorite dish from a local mexican restaurant. My sweet husband and dear friend complimented on how fabulous it was, if not better.
My cooking tragedies
I am terrible, just terrible! at cooking asian inspired food! (Well I was! Allrecipes has definitely changed that!)

Skeeter's Ceviche
I used this wonderful recipe to start me out. I added avacados, cucumber, garlic, and my favorite blend of all spices. I was happy to see limes instead of lemon and fresh tomatoes being used instead of canned paste or puree. Double your recipe because its healthy and tastes even better the next day. Thank you Skeeter.

Zuppa Toscana
We loved the cream with the soup and it was very yummy. My daughter suggested we put zucchini in it next time and I think that is a good idea.

Sweet Dinner Rolls
This recipe rocks!!! I used this dough to make kolaches. I used a little less flour but that is to be expected when making breads. Thank you!!
