Chocolate Trifle

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2007
Ok, so its Christmas Day and I am exhausted. I needed to make yet another dessert for a gathering tomorrow. You can't go wrong with leftover pound cake & brownies. I diced up both, layered it with chocolate pudding, cool whip and chopped up Reese's PB cups. I ended up calling it my "I Can't Possibly Bake Another Thing Trifle". Thanks for the idea.

Perfect. Love it. Fast, simple and delicious. I used a chicken pesto sausage and added just a bit of extra broth after it was all done cooking. Thanks so much, I really enjoyed this dish.

Holy smokes, this is delicious. I didn't have poultry seasoning but I didn't miss it, to be honest. I also didn't use 4c of potatoes, just two med red. This is my number one chicken soup recipe and my Husband LOVED it.

Creamy Ice Coffee

Wonderful guideline to follow. There is no need to chage it but I did to reduce fat & calories. I used 2 cups of vanilla soymilk & 10 packets of Splenda. I didn't have Cho Liquor on hand so I had to make it without. It must taste amazing with it. Thanks so much, my Mother loved it.

Sour Cream Bundt Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2007
This was a perfect, in a pinch quick cake. I was worried that it was going to go flat based on some previous reviews and I didn't leave myself alot of time before I had to leave for the party I was supposed to bring this to. But, no worries here. It came out great. Nice and moist. I used low fat sour cream, two eggs, oil & water. I made a glaze of lemon juice and powdered sugar. It was a hit. Fast and easy for when you are in a hurry. Thanks for sharing this.

Pudding Chocolate Chippers

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2005
Well, aren't these a yummy cookie. You don't have to change a thing, although I did a little. i just cut back on the white sugar a little, 1/4cup less and used sugar free vanilla pudding. I also used white whole wheat flour, this made the batter a little dry, so I added just a bit of milk for extra moisture. Delicious and alot easier than other chocolate chip cookie recipes. I like that they are crispy. Thank you, you deserved your blue ribbons.

Yum!!! Hubby loved it and that means alot when it comes to fish. I didn't change a thing, except I used whitting, the coating stayed on the fish with no problem. Our regular Sunday meal with homemade mac and cheese. Thanks

This was a decent recipe and a great idea. I made it this morning for Christmas breakfast for just my Husband and myself. I used only three eggs insted of 5. I made the usual adjustments to make it more nutritious and it came out very good. We enjoyed it.

Blueberry Pancakes

These came out great, useing some of the suggestions from others reviewers. I doubled the Baking Powder, doubled the cinnamon (I love cinnamon) and I cut back on the oil, useing only 1 tablespoon. I also didn't have plain yogurt so I used sour cream. They came out tall and fluffy.

Gramma Brown's Corn Chowder

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2004
Thank you for a delicious recipe. I made it today and I LOVE it. The only reason I changed anything was to make it vegetarian. I left out the bacon and used vegetable broth. I also cut the fat a bit for health reasons by using skim milk and light butter, leaving out the bacon helped with that too. Nutrition changed to 142 cal, 1.9g fat, 0 cholesterol, 4.82g Protein, 599mg sodium and 2.2g fiber. The soup came out very creamy, better than most I have had out at restaurants. Thanks again. :)

Whole Wheat Pancakes

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2004
This is a very nice healthy pancake recipe. I was worried that my finace would not like them but he ended up eatting three. We are trying to move away from white flour to a more healthy carb. I changed a few things but that was my personal choice. First, I scaled it down to two servings and it even made more than what we could eat. I used soy flour instead of the all purpose, I didn't have wheat germ so I used oat bran in its place, I used I can't Believe its not butter Light and used a combination of soy milk and sour cream in place of the buttermilk. Threw in some fresh blueberries and I was happy. Thanks :)

YUMMMMMMMMMY!!!! I made this at work and it came out great. I have a classroom of disabled adults and everyone did a great job helping me make this. I took another reviewers advice and added cinnamon, nutmeg, cut back the sugar, increased the fruit and halved the amout of topping. We served it at a Memorial Day luncheon we had with our friends. Thank you for a keeper.

This is insanely delicious. Out of this world. I amde it for Easter Brunch and I swear, I didn't want to put it out, I wanted it all to myself. I took some suggestions of others and tweaked it a bit. I used 1/2 whole wheat flour and 1/2 white flour , I used 1/2c of brown sugar and 3/4c white sugar, increased the vanilla to 2 teaspoons and I also used "I can't believe it's not butter" Light. Thank you for shareing Cristin. This one is a keeper.

Fabulous. I love the crunch of the apples and celery paired with the creamy curry mayo. I too, cut way back on the fat. I used Hellman's "Just 2 Good" and used a whole wheat pita pocket with romaine lettuce. What a delicious lunch. Thank you so much for shareing.

Haddock Bubbly Bake

Delicious, not one complaint. My finace is wicked picky about food, especially fish. He loved this dish. It was so easy, perfect for a weekday dinner. I used cream of broccoli instead of mushroom (my finace doesn't like mushrooms) I also added some fresh broccoli to cook with it. I served over seasoned rice and viola!!! Thanks :)

Simply perfect. I ran out of wonton wrappers and I live in the middle of nowhere. The corner store has 12 varieties of beef jerky but suprisingly, no ethnic foods. This was perfect and I will never buy wrappers again. Thanks a bunch.
