About this Cook
I am young professional living and working in the Nation's Capital. I have always had a love for baking and have recently really got into cooking -- so we'll see where I go from here.
My favorite things to cook
I am a master of sweets. I hand decorate birthday cakes for family and friends. I also make delicious cupcakes, pies, cookies, sugar-coated pecans, pavlova... the list goes on. Aside from desserts I love quick and easy things, such as Chicken Quesadillas with Mild sauce from Taco Bell, Mashed Potatoes with butter, salt and some dill, Grilled Cheese Sandwiches with pickles on the side, Pancakes, and Cinnamon French Toast
My favorite family cooking traditions
Homemade Pierogi with sour cream (that I have yet to learn how to make), Homemade Pies (pumpkin, pecan, apple, blueberry, lemon meringue, etc.), Hand Decorated Gingerbread Men at Christmas
My cooking triumphs
I seem to be good with strawberries... topping pavlovas, making shortcakes, dipping them in chocolate... that sort of stuff always goes over well.
My cooking tragedies
Growing up, I once added the cheese mix in my Kraft Mac and Cheese before straining the water. My friend and I called it Macaroni Soup. I also accidentally burn popcorn a lot.

Cha Cha's White Chicken Chili
I used pickled jalapenos because that's what I had on hand. I also used the spicy Mrs. Dash since I didn't have any cayenne pepper. I also did an extra can of white beans pureed to thicken the broth. This recipe is definitely a keeper! Easy to do and tastes great.

Cola Pot Roast II
I added some extra garlic salt on the meat before pouring over the sauce. It was a new flavor and really tasty and easy!

Sweet Blackberry and Brandy Sauce
I didn't have brandy, so I used peach schnapps. I will probably use less sugar next time, but this was delicious with freshly baked crescent rolls!
