About this Cook
I promised myself to enjoy my life more after college, so I discovered that cooking is therapy in itself--a bit of art and chemistry!
My favorite things to cook
I'll get back to this...
My favorite family cooking traditions
Vietnamese cuisine, of course! Oh, and barbeque (meat from the Panhandle Texas).
My cooking triumphs
Turkey with stuffing on Thanksgiving 2007, the garlic fried chicken on this site as well as the fruit salad, jello from scratch based on a cookbook, and I'll still be counting (and learning)...
My cooking tragedies
My first tragedy was the bouillabaisse I tried cooking for my French class. I poured too much red or white wine (can't remember which one) into the soup. After my family had a sip (just to test it), they all looked like they wanted to hurl into the soup instead. So... I'm glad I didn't bring it to my French class!!

Baked Teriyaki Chicken
I followed a lot of recommendations here like doubling the sauce and baking at 375 degrees F. I used foil pan and greased the pan with cooking spray (because I needed to use the foil for something!). I added celery seeds seasoning to the sauce mix, and it tasted fresh. I had to use a lot of sugar than what is called for in 10 servings (I have a huge family, and we love leftovers), so I basically sampled the sauce each time I added more sugar. Also, I may use more brown sugar next time. Overall, my family enjoyed it.

Creamy Vanilla Pudding
My family basically finished this in less than 2 days! I made 10 servings. I followed the recipe exactly. However, towards the end, I left it on the stove a bit longer so that it could be thicker and creamier instead of liquidy. I served it warm with fresh blueberries and dried apples. Everyone loved it! Serving it with any type of fresh fruits is strongly encouraged! :) I'd give this recipe a 4.5 (if there were such a thing!). Thanks for the recipe!
