About this Cook
I am an RN living in Florida and married to the best guy around. We like cooking together, fishing and riding our motorcycles. We have three dogs, one cat and three bearded dragon lizards. Life is great! We love Jesus!
My favorite things to cook
Anything and everything.
My favorite family cooking traditions
None particularly. My parents were pretty variable with their meals. My dad however liked to make home made pizza for Redskin football games. I guess that qualifies as a tradition.
My cooking triumphs
Mastering the art of cookie baking.
My cooking tragedies
Too many to express.

Apple Carrot Muffins
I made these this morning and found that I was missing many of the ingredients that I needed. Rather than run off to the store i made some substitutions and it turned out awesome! Instead of buttermilk I used milk with 1 tbs of lemon juice. Instead of apples I used apple sauce. Instead of an egg I just put in 1/4 more of applesauce (1 cup total). I also added zucchini that I wanted to use up. It was a total of 1 cup of carrots and zucchini mixed together. I was worried that it would be a total flop but it turned out amazing! This recipe is definitely a keeper. Thanks!

Day-After-Thanksgiving Turkey Carcass Soup
I made this recipe tonight and it turned out fabulous!! I added a potato cut up into small pieces, and I did not add the peas (only because i do not like them). I did not have chicken broth so I used bouillon cubes 1/2 chicken and 1/2 beef. Those were the only modifications I made. I will definitely make it again. Thanks for the recipe.
