About this Cook
I am a mom of three (thus my screen name) wonderful children (age 10, 5, and 3). Their only fault is that they are very picky eaters; although some of that is my fault for making the foods they like, instead of providing a more robust menu.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake, especially cakes (although I have to admit that I cheat and use the box cake mix more than not). I did make a great German chocolate cake with Cherry Coke in it once, that was incredible. I also have a killer carrot cake recipie that I'll have to post.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Peanut clusters at Christmas, strawberry crepes for Easter, and brownie ice cream cakes for birthdays are the traditional foods for us. Other than that, it's a mixed bag.
My cooking triumphs
Everyone raves about my cakes, but I am most proud of my crepes. I love to make (and eat) them. I think that's why Easter is my favorite holiday.
My cooking tragedies
I can't say that I've had tragedies; however, I think it's tragic that I haven't done more scratch recipie cakes, or expanded my normal meal repetoir. When I do attempt to make new things, they turn out ok; and, I'm getting more comfortable cooking new things, especially due to this site. Thank you all for the great recipies and advice. It has been very helpful!

Chicken Noodle Casserole II
This was FANTASTIC! I reduced the sour cream (because I didn't have enough), and used a mexican blend of cheeses (that's what I had in the fridge), and it still turned out great! I think I'll add a little milk next time, to make it a little more creamy. Thanks for sharing this recipie!!
