About this Cook
I've been cooking since I've been married which is since 1989. I LOVE TO TRY NEW RECIPES! I also love to have dinner parties with family and friends! Creating new recipes is something I also enjoy! I have many of my recipe creations listed in my recipe box. For more of my recipe creations go to...http://www.grouprecipes.com/people/lilliancooks
My favorite things to cook
I tend to go for Italian, Mexican or American recipes. Someday I will try Asian recipes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I'm Italian so I make the basics (always from scratch) like meatballs, manicotti, picatta, alfredo, etc.
My cooking triumphs
OH! Way too many to list of course!
My cooking tragedies
OH! Way to many of these also!

Best Ever Meatloaf with Brown Gravy
I used this recipe for the gravy only. This was a very good and very easy brown gravy recipe! I made it as written except I didn't have any mushrooms, but it was still very tasty! I would of liked it to be a little thicker, so next time I'll add less liquid. This will be my gravy recipe from now on!

Dawn's Candied Walnuts
These are very good! They have a nice sweet cinnamon flavor! They took a lot longer than 10 minutes to roast but everything else was perfect! I'll be serving these to my guests on Father's Day...if I can stop eating them!

Pepper Jelly Appetizer
This was very good! I love the combination of flavors...hot and spicy with salty and sweet! And I love the creamy and crunchy textures also! I used a cranberry hot pepper jelly. The only thing I would do different next time is to use equal amounts of cream cheese and jelly. And I would probably warm this up in the microwave before serving. I will definitely be making this for my next party!
