Hash Brown and Egg Casserole

Holy cow, this is amazing! I make a similar casserole all the time, but this one tasted much better and has become our new family favorite! I did use half and half, but otherwise followed the recipe. YUM!

Slow Cooker Corn Chowder

Good, but not great. We served it in bread bowls which was fun and added some needed thickness to the broth. I used chicken broth rather than water, and omitted the celery, but otherwise followed the recipe. My family liked it better than I did, but I don't think I'll make this again.

Yummy, easy and family friendly. What more can you ask for from a recipe? The ranch dressing mix really gave it a nice rich flavor. Can't go wrong with this one!

Pesto Chicken Florentine

I really loved this, my family gave it 4 stars (I may have added too much garlic per MY taste...). Super easy and totally delicious. Added way more spinach as I really like spinach and it seemed too little once it cooked down. I also used already prepared Alfredo, and mixed in my own pesto. Thanks for sharing!

The only addition I made was LOTS of mini chocolate chips. Delicious. I also frosted some with canned cream cheese frosting - just a thin coat, but both versions were excellent.

Hamburger, Potato, and Kidney Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2011
I made a number of modifications, but this gave me the basis for a GREAT recipe! This is like a baked potato smothered in chili topped with cheese and sour cream - YUM. I diced the potatoes (did NOT peel), sprinkled with Wahoo Chili seasoning and salt/pepper, layered with ground beef/onion, then whole can kidney beans, 1/2 LARGE can tomato soup, then repeated the layers. Cooked covered for 1.5 hours, then generously sprinkled shredded cheese on top and cooked for another 15 minutes uncovered. Served individual servings with cheese, sour cream and spring onions on top. Skipped the bacon altogether, but that would be great too. A new family favorite for sure!

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Our family loves this soup! So easy, and so delicious. I usually add a can of cream of chicken soup to make it a creamier base (I use chicken broth rather than beer, too) but you can't go wrong with this recipe.

I add a can of cream of chicken soup instead of some of the broth, and additional spices. This is fantastic, and we love it!

These are very good. I cheated, and used prepared Pico de Gallo from the store, added the diced mango, lime, extra cilanto, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Great super quick meal!

Thai Peanut Chicken

My family really enjoyed this dish! I added shredded carrots for a bit more color and crunch, and substitued cashews for the peanuts. DOUBLE the sauce, or it will not be enough! Thanks so much for this great recipe.

Cream Peas

Not a personal favorite for me, but my kids LOVE them, and beg for them whenever I ask which vegetable they want! I have used canned peas as I usually have them on hand, so maybe that affects the flavor. Very easy, and quick, great side dish for a busy evening! THANKS!

When your family is fighting over the leftovers, you know it's a great meal. You can make tweaks to this recipe depending upon what you have on hand, but it's a winner every time! Everyone loves it, and I've shared the recipe with others and they've raved, too! Thanks so much for sharing this recipe!

Butter Snow Flakes

Excellent, easy cookie. I omitted the orange (didn't have any) and added green food coloring to make my trees green. I sprinkled the unbaked cookies with colored sugar. It added a nice touch! Will be making more of these tomorrow, possibly will drizzle icing on them prior to adding the colored sugar to dress them up more, but these are great and worked so well in my cookie press! THANKS!

Chicken with Mushrooms, Prosciutto, and Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2006
WOW!! DOUBLE WOW!!! This was AMAZING! My husband likes to guess how much a certain dish would have been if we had ordered it in a restaurant. He says this is a $19.95 dish! :) I didn't have mushrooms, so I did the chicken (boneless breasts) with the garlic, butter, S&P and prosciutto for an hour (perfect!) and then used a can of cream of mushroom soup for the base for the sauce. To the soup I added the sour cream, white wine, a little milk and the drippings from the chicken. We served the sauce over the chicken AND mashed potatoes. It was terrific! Definitely a keeper, a 5 star recipe, and one of our new favorites. THANKS!!

Not great, tasted OK, but we will not try this one again. We served it over rice, but I think noodles would have been a better choice.
