Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2009
this is by far the best chicken pot pie recipe i have come across! i did add a few extra seasonings such as: poultry seasoning, garlic powder and thyme. i also dice 3 small potatoes and add them to the mixture. soooo good! i can't wait to try it with beef next time! i use the 'basic flaky pie crust' which combined with this recipe which is double the yum!! enjoy!

Cream Cheese Frosting II

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2009
This is a cheesecake lover's dream! Tastes just like a cheesecake mixture...pure heaven! If it's too thick for your liking or to frost your cake a bit easier, add 1 TBS. milk. I have been using this recipe for over a year now and it never fails me...plus it's ALWAYS a huge hit!

Blonde Brownies I

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2009
I followed the directions to a tee and mine came out extremely dry. We ended up throwing the entire batch away. The flavor was good but too dry. Not sure what I did wrong??? I am going to make them again today and cut back on the baking powder. Hopefully they will be moist and chewy. ****UPDATE**** I made them again this afternoon and here are the changes I made...I omitted the baking soda, added 1 TBS. vanilla and 2 TBS. of heavy cream to mixture. I also was sure NOT to overmix the flour mixture!!! OVERMIXING WILL CAUSE DRY BROWNIES!! I mixed white chocolate chips and butterscotch chips into the batter and sprinkled brown sugar over the top. They came out moist and chewy! EXCELLENT!

Taco Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2009
I made a lot of alterations as the calories and fat were too high for my family. I used turkey meat instead of beef, fat free crescent rolls, fat free sour cream, low fat mexican blend cheese and baked tortilla chips. I also added green chilies, black olives, chopped onion and diced tomatoes for added flavor. I used half of the taco seasoning as it would have been too much salt. It was a big hit! My family, including my 3 year old loved it! Not to mention there was a lot less fat and calories than the original posted recipe. Thanks!

Simple and easy to make! I used turkey sausage, skim mozzarella, mushrooms and diced tomatoes w/ garlic & onion as the filling and Pillsbury pizza dough as the crust. They turned out great and were a big hit with my family! Thanks!

Excellent! There is no way you can make mistakes with something this easy! In addition to the white peppermint bark, we also made milk chocolate bark with dried cranberries. There are so many variations! Thanks for an easy, kid friendly recipe!

Extra Easy Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2008
This was a very easy, kid friendly recipe. Although it did have that "canned frosting" taste, it was still good. I followed the advice of another comment which suggested using white chocolate chips, cream cheese frosting and cranberries. Wow! What a great Christmas gift idea! My neighbors loved it!

Chuck's Favorite Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2008
I made this recipe as it states and my family found it to be too salty and not creamy enough. We are used to the white sauce mac and cheese and wanted to try something different. I probably won't make this again but I am glad to have tried something new.

Very easy and just ok tasting. My husband and I found these too salty and the gravy was a bit overpowering. Next time I will adjust the gravy and the salt.

Velvety Pumpkin Soup With Blue Cheese and Bacon

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2008
A very nice fall soup! I made a few changes and the outcome was fabulous! I cut the ceyanne pepper completely as we don't like spicy things. I used turkey bacon in place of regular bacon and I added a few tablespoons of brown sugar. I also added a few extra pinches of salt and a dash of white pepper. I will defintiely make this soup again! Thanks!

Sour Cream Burgers

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2008
I changed this recipe a bit since my family doesn't like burgers that taste like meatloaf. I eliminated the bread crumbs, and only used 1/2 of the onion soup mix. I only used 1 pound of hamburger (turkey & chicken burger works great too!) instead of 3 pounds. Once I made these adjustments, I couldn't believe how good the results were! Now, these are the only burgers I will make! Thanks for the awesome recipe!

Swiss Chicken Casserole II

I really wanted to like this recipe. I love chicken, swiss cheese and all of the other ingredients, however, I found this recipe to be too salty. The flavor was very harsh and I couldn't get past the saltiness. Sorry.
