this was pretty tasty, only not quite as tart as it could've been. i suggest people taste it before adding the sugar; because i used "cranberry nectar" which was sweet enough on it's own. i used Perrier instead of club soda. why not go French?

No-Cream Pasta Primavera

this was a very easy recipe to make, actually. tasty. lots of vegetables. very seasonally appropriate. the only change i made was i didn't use any fresh basil... my grocery store didn't have any. bummer.

Pad Thai

while this wasn't terrible tasting, it didn't taste like Pad Thai. definitely not enough sauce; which should've been made with lime juice instead of white wine vinegar. and, the recipe didn't call for peanuts! that's an essential to Pad Thai. i do not recommend this one. there are definitely better Pad Thai recipes out there.

perfect bread. it makes a lot and keeps really well for a long time. on my second attempt, i made it into pizza, halving the recipe and using 1 c. whole wheat flour and 1 1/2 c. white bread flour. still so delicious.

Authentic Mexican Tortillas

super easy, and really good. i used butter instead of shortening (i mean, if you're going to use saturated fat, why not go with what nature will provide you with?), and they turned out great. so much better than store-bought.

Valentine Pizza

this was a great pizza, but it DOES take a while, being made from scratch. i refuse to give in and so kneaded it myself. but the proportions worked out just perfectly. also, there was no veggie pepperoni, so i used turkey pepperoni. it was absolutely acceptable.

Vegetarian Korma

really, extremely delicious. easy to prepare. it took a little longer than expected (because maybe i used the wrong potatoes, and those took a while getting tender) and i didn't add any extra salt. really made the curry powder (home-made) come alive.

Hot Artichoke Spinach Dip

call it operator error if you will, but perhaps fresh mozerella (you know, the one that comes in liquid) is not the key to this tasty dip. it's wasn't bad, just a little bland.

Aunt Anne's Coffee Cake

i made this after 3/4 a bottle of wine and it still turned out wonderful. i used brown sugar instead of white, because who likes white sugar anyway?... baked it in a bundt pan and was perfect!

Spicy Pumpkin Bread

the only modification i made to the recipe was to use melted butter instead of oil -- veg oil is for the birds! it turned out great. the top is really crunchy and sweet but the middle is less-sweet and pumpkiny. good baked good.

Strawberry Muffins

the muffins themselves turned out very soft and moist. i used melted butter instead of canola oil, and added 1 cup rhubarb with the 1 cup of strawberries; rounded out recipe to a good dozen. very fruity and delicious.
