My family loves sweets, so I usually find myself baking cakes, pies, and cookies. I love pasta, but I don't get to cook it much
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter, it's the big meals that Grandma make that are the best and you can NEVER duplicate!
My cooking triumphs
When I learn how to bake all my Grandma's desserts and have them taste exactly like hers, then that will be a triumph!
My cooking tragedies
Never really had anything that was horrible.

Vanilla Ice Cream
Super easy, and tastes great. This recipe is for anyone who is making homemade ice cream for the first time or someone who just doesn't want to be bothered with the eggs. The only thing I'll do different next time is double the recipe!

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie
Don't know what happened, but my cookies weren't fat - chewy yes, and that is about it. Nothing special. It still just isn't 'that' chocolate chip cookie for me. I'll keep looking, but I know that when I want a chewy cookie, this is the one I'll go to.

Frog Cupcakes
I made these for my mom's bake sale, and they came out cute - time consuming - but cute. I probably won't make them again though (no bad reason I just won't)I did have a few problems with the marshmallows not standing up, but that was all. I used M&M's for the eyes, and made my colored sugar with the Colored Sugar recipe from this site so I wouldn't have to go buy some. Can't wait to hear how they sell.
