About this Cook
I'm a 22 yr old wife and mother. I cook nightly for my family and love to cook variety. I make my family rate my cooking so I know whether or not to make it again. I have been blessed with a non-picky 2 yr old eater, so I know that if she doesn't like it, then its no good. Its a really good gage. I've been cooking since I was about 15, but since I got married have just started cooking different things instead of the tried and true recipes. My next adventure is learning how to cook with seafood. I feel its very important for children to get a wide variety of food.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook anything new.
My favorite family cooking traditions
As I was growing up, every year my mom would make me a special birthday cake. I am now continuing that tradition with my daughter.
My cooking triumphs
My biggest one just came recently where I tried a recipe off of here that had no photo (I'm one of those cooks that have to have photos before I try a recipe). So I tried it anyway and it was delicious and I took a photo and submitted it and now its the photo for the recipe! SO COOL!!!
My cooking tragedies
When I cooked my first Thanksgiving dinner, it was a disaster! I was trying to save time by preparing some things the night before. I like my mashed potatoes hot, so all I did was cut up the potatoes and put them in the pot and put them in the fridge. When I went the next day to make my mashed potatoes the potatoes were black! I made mashed potatoes with them anyway thinking it was just dicoloring, but it wasn't, they turned a murky gray and were disgusting. To top it all off the center of my turkey just wouldn't cook! Thats one thanksgiving I'll never forget!

Leftover Casserole
I didn't precook the noodles and it came out fine. It was a great way to use up leftovers from Mother's Day! Will definitely use this recipe again! It was YUM YUM YUMMY according to my 2 yr old.

Hamburger Muffins
Delicious recipe. I used shredded parmesan cheese and velveta american slices on top instead of the cheddar cheese! Even my 2 yr old loved them! Also, great if you are on a budget.
