I'm a father of three who loves to cook for my kids, and kind of fancy for myself (every once in a while). I also love reading and writing. I used to be a cook for a living but I gave that up and now I work at my church.
My favorite things to cook
Pretty much everything Asian, and I'm starting to really like baking. I also love the art of BBQ, but I'm not so great at it yet. By the end of the summer though, watch out.

Slow Cooker Beef Stew III
I made this with some spices that came from a "beef stew packet" and left out the soup, so mine came out more like a soup than a stew, but it was delicious none the less. I may try this one again sometime with a closer follow to the recipe.

Busy Day Chicken
I left this for about an hour longer than was indicated so it just fell apart it was done so perfect. I also used about twice as much sauce as the recipe called for, so that I would have some sauce left in the slow cooker. It was a touch bland, but that may have been the sauce I was using, so I just poured some of the leftover sauce on top, and added a little hot sauce, served it over toasted bread with some fries, fantastic!

Puff Pastry
It is a good recipe, I made some kind of "hot pocket" things with the dough, and they have served me well for lunch food so far. Will make again but I might try to add some herbs to the dough, just to flavor it up a bit more.
