About this Cook
My husband and I have been together 10 years. And we are raising our niece. We have had her since she was a baby. I can't lie. I don't truly find myself enjoying cooking, but every one seems to love my cooking. I always figured..I cook because I have to. Everyone needs to eat. Since my husband is in the military, I cook a lot for his military brothers. They come over alot and I take food to their job. They make food request believe it or not. I tell them they need to get married or go home to mom....LOL So I find myself spending alot of time in the kitchen. Needless to say, I think I am beginning to enjoy it. Ha HA....I am starting to have fun!
My favorite things to cook
I love to make my macaroni and cheese, it always comes out so good! (I use 5 cheeses!!)Ask my husband he loves my fried chicken! You ask the 9 year old princess and she would tell you that she loves my red chicken w/ rice, and our chocolate chip cookies.
My cooking tragedies
Just recently I followed a recipe that I found here for a turkey. They turkey fell and only 2 people got a slice. The dog got to it, so we had to toss it. 6 hours of cooking that turkey, gone. Well, there was a lot of other food. I made homemade macaroni and cheese, corn bread, mash potatoes, stuffing, green beans, and alot of sweets!! So even though the bird was gone, everyone still got to eat!

Italian Breaded Pork Chops
Very good recipe. I did change it a little bit..I didn't use the milk and instead of chopping the garlic and removing it, I minced in and left it while browning the pork chops. They were delicious!!!

Chicken Breasts with Lime Sauce
I am sorry to say that I expected more with this dish. The flavors didn't seem to blend to well and it came out kind of bland. I don't think that I would make it again. Sorry.
