I'm a proud mother of one! My husband, Matt, is a United States Marine, currently stateside. I like to try new things, but my favorite things to cook are the ones I grew up with; tacos, enchiladas, spaghetti... anything that reminds me of home. Every Christmas, someone in the family will host a party. We have my Grandma's fantastic tortillas, enchiladas, green chile, beans and spanish rice, tamales... oh man... I'm getting hungry! I've never been more proud of myself than when my aunt came over for dinner and asked my mom how she made her spaghetti sauce. My mom raised her eyebrows and replied, "Lynnette made dinner, ask her!" Though I love to (try) and bake, I usually don't do to well. I tried to make a cake from scratch (Way to ambitious). Don't ask me how, but I ended up with a house filled with smoke and a Very angry mother... I'm sticking to boxes from now on.
