Working mother of 2. I've been married 11 years now and I am still trying to get my own groove in the kitchen. Been making the same type of dinners for years now. I want something new! My hubby loves my Rice-a-Roni meatballs and my daughter is crazy for my spaghetti. My favorite things to cook are the things they love most. I come from a mixed background. My mother's family is hispanic but she herself is very non-traditional. My step-father is white and had been raised in the mid-west. To top that all off my hubby loves southern style food and when you throw that all together, I'm at a loss for any tradition. Though I like to try new things, I do not like to try reciepies that require 25 different ingredients. So the best one i've gotten from this site is the cream of mushroom pork chops. The whole family raved when I made them. Now those are the only pork chops I'm allowed to make. Quick and easy meals that are different from the same ol' same ol' are my best meals. I tend to over season anthing when it calls for soy sauce. I don'tknow why, I know that I shouldn't but I always have a feeling that what's in there is not enough.
