Oatmeal and Tomato Soup
Thirty Minute Chili
About this Cook
I am american but married to the most amazing man ever (who happens to be Saudi). I am in gradute school in the USA, but hoping to move overseas and start a family soon.
My favorite things to cook
I am adventerous and love trying to attempt at making things from all over the world and trying new stuff all the time. I am a huge fan of taking something simple like tomato soup and adding spices and stuff and attempting new flavors in things that are still easy to make.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I orginally grew up in kansas so alot of "heartland" dishes like cassorales and meaty stews have always been tradition growing up. As a new married family though, we are still working on making our own.
My cooking triumphs
haha, if it is edible... it is a triumph when it is a new recipe. I havent had alot of pressure times to have to make something....
My cooking tragedies
way too many to count all the failed recipes

Easy Pancakes
they were bland, even for a pancake. I did 3 teaspoons baking powder and i had to add a bit of flour because they just would not thicken up.

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan
simply amazing! I didnt have basil but i decieded to be creative and added some bay leaf instead. i also used miricle whip in place of mayo and the lemon juice. it wasnt as liquidy and had to be smashed down out of ball shapes so i wouldnt reccomend doing that substitution, but the recipe as written was very good!

Thirty Minute Chili
this was alright. I know it looks bad in the photo. but it wasnt THAT terrible tasting. i just found it a little to "prepackaged" tasting and probably will not make it again. but then again what can you expect, it did come from a packet mostly.
