I have been cooking since I was tall enough to reach my mother's stove. I also have two picky children, both daughters. Mac is four and Raelin is two, so I have to usually have to disguise veggies within their meals. I also have a hungry firefighter husband who likes stick-to-your-ribs meals. Nifty twists on old recipes. I love trying a new recipe or meal idea for fun. I absolutely love to experiment in the kitchen, and I have only had a few disasters! I am from an Irish family, so we cook with potatoes a lot. My mother also was the casserole queen, so I learned at an early age what things to throw together in one dish and bake for a great meal. Putting together ingredients on a dare that people think could never go well together and coming out with a fantastic dish! Honestly, I can't bake bread and muffins etc. I love cooking and it's my thing, but I really am not that inventive or overall talented at baking anything that isn't meat. It's rather amusing for everyone.
