About this Cook
I am 63 years old and am married to a wonderful man, who is a Pharmacist and also likes to cook, but usually doesn't have time. When I cook, he cleans, so I love that. My husband has alot of food allergies, eggs wheat, and all presertaves that are in so many things. So I have to be a very careful shopper. I buy organic when possible. And I am learning recipes for cakes etc. made with different kinds of flours other than wheat. and egg replacement. We have 8 children, and 24 grand children so far. And are active in our local church. I love to sing and play piano. Since my husband plays gutiar, we often play together. We have fun with that. I love spending time with my grandchildren. They are so great!
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook in my crock pot. From soups to stews, to main dishes, such as chicken. I think stir fries are about my favorite.
My favorite family cooking traditions
When my children were home, we had hambuger night, taco night, spaghatti night. Not alway every week but those were their favorites, that were enjoyed frequently
My cooking triumphs
I finally learned how to make a yummy apple pie.
My cooking tragedies
I have had so many cook tradgies over the years it 's hard to choose. The most embarrsing was when we had company for dinner and when I served the chicken it was rare. Needless to say it went in the micorwave for a bit. It didn't ruin the meal, but I was horribly embarresed.

Greek Pizza with Spinach, Feta and Olives
I made this pizza for company and everyone raved about it. The only additions that I made were I added chicken and red pepper flakes. I will make this again.

Broccoli Chicken Casserole II
The only change I made to this recipe was to use eggless mayonaise. It goes well with rice. The tang of the lemon juice and the curry make this the special dish that it is. We love it!

Southern Fried Cabbage
This was really good, my husband loved it. I used red cabbage only because the green cabbage heads were all to big for just the two of us. I also used a 100% natural sausage, as my husband cannot have any presertives in his food. I cooked it in a little butter and olive oil. Will make this again.
