About this Cook
Mom, Wife and come from a huge family that loves to cook. my brother makes the best Louisiana seafood Gumbo and Mama makes the best chicken gumbo and I can only hope to learn to creat a rue like theirs some day. I used to cook a lot and am just thinking of getting back into it.
My favorite things to cook
Quiche, Mac N Cheese, Holiday Dishes & Summer Salads
My favorite family cooking traditions
Mama, me and my sisters in the kitchen at Mama's house for Thanksgiving & Christmas. My Mama's Turkry Dressing is the BEST and I now am the taster for the dressing before it goes into the oven. My Daddy used to be the taster, God Rest His Soul, until he passed on January 25, 2000. We miss him so much during the holidays. Our holidays are filled with family tradition and I am so thankful for that!
My cooking triumphs
Quiche Lorraine way back when I was in college for a guy I was dating! It turned out delicious, although I didn't know he didn't like onions! HA HA! Too bad for him!
My cooking tragedies
Have to think back on this one! LOL... Oh... I know, cooking my potatos to soft for my famous potato salad, it almost turned into potato soup! It was for a family function and I was so embarressed!

Reindeer Snack Mix
This is an awesome recipe for your child's school holiday party. my son's 6th grade class loved it! I doubled the recipe had some left over, thank goodness, brought it home and all my mom friends kept coming over to eat it! It is very addictive. Followed others advice and made extra sauce, and it is worth the cooking time and work! Thanks for this recipe!

Grandma's Green Bean Casserole
I made this style of Green Bean casserole last year for my very large family for Thanksgiving. I had to make two dishes and I was hoping to take some left over home with me, but it was ALL gone! My family now loves this one and I will be making again this year! Thank you for this Green Bean Casserole!
