About this Cook
My cooking tragedies
When I was 10 years old my Mom was in the hospital. I baked a lemon meringue pie (my fathers favorite) from scratch for my Dad to cheer him up. It looked great! The only problem was that I had inadvertently used corn starch instead of flour. It was a disaster that we all chuckled about years later.

Cinnamon Raisin Bread
This was a very hearty cinnamon/raisin bread. I used regular and golden raisens, doubled the cinnamon and added and egg as suggested. The two loaves didn't last very long since everyone was having it toasted for breakfast or eating it for desert!

Hollandaise Sauce
Velvety smooth and tasty. I found it to be a little too lemony for my taste. I will definately use this recipe again but cut back slightly on the lemon.

Peking Duck
How about Peking Chicken? I made this using chicken instead of duck. the steaming process really made for a very moist and tender chicken. You may want to very slightly reduce the spices a little since the chicken has a milder flesh. Overall very nice!
